GreenSpacesMV is a community group in Mountain View, CA striving for healthy communities thriving with urban tree canopy, nature, and native biodiversity
We support growing a resilient urban ecosystem that bolsters the health and sustainability of our community where our natural environment is harmoniously integrated with the human-built environment.
We are facing rapid urbanization and ongoing climate changes. We must reimagine our built infrastructure and incorporate green elements to ensure we have equitable and robust quality canopy and green spaces.
We see opportunities across our transit routes, parks and open spaces, creek corridors, schools, neighborhoods, new developments, and other public amenities. We aim to enhance wildlife habitat for birds and pollinators, preserve existing trees, grow canopy and biodiversity, promote community gardens, and linear parks.
